Antigen Discovery and Proteomics
A good vaccine is one that properly prepares the immune system to fight off an infection. This strength is rooted in the ability to find the right components for a vaccine and deliver it in a safe and effective manner.
Vital Probes is using its experitise in proteomics (the study of proteins) to identify potential vaccine candidates. Using antibodies from infected patients or animals which survived an infection, Vital Probes can identify the proteins which the immune system reacted against to eliminate the infection. These proteins are excellent vaccine candidates and can be incorporated into new vaccines
